Bungie, either post an Update on Halo 2 Vista or remove the link from your site. You are clearly abandoning this project before it has even launched. And don't use the look at other sites excuse on me either. There is LOADS upon LOADS of info on Halo 3 but there is next to none on Halo 2 Vista. Post some new screens, post some graphical updates, post something on the editing kit but for god's sake post something or even acknowledge that the game exists OR remove the link to the H2V section from the main page.

Sketch MIGHT isn't good enough. Either post it or tell us you really don't give a -blam!- about how the game turns out. Because god forbid you do your duty to your loyal fans that supported you in the days of Marathon because they don't have a 360 crammed into their -blam!- areas.
Oh and by the way not to sound mean but I have dealt with the utter crap that was Halo 1 PC for years the reason it is so is because Bungie wasn't involved they let Ms take care of it. Do not make the same mistake twice. But I really don't care because when Halo 3 is done your out of a cash cow and you'll either have to do something new or actually pay attention to the fans that made you are what you are today.

a. They aren't developing the title - get over it! Once rights are distributed for a project they don't really have control over everything, even if they wanted too. Despite what one might think because they created the franchise.
b. They get to choose what they want to talk about on their website. Regardless of the fact that they aren't developing H2V, H3 is CLEARLY a priority for their studio, and information on that game is what appeals to the overwhelming majority of the fan base. It would appear that you PC Halo players count for a large group, but I suspect this is more because your group is computer savvy and as such is more likely to be forum posters and blog commentators (in general, not just on Bungie.net)
c. Where do you get off acting like your the only ones who made Bungie what they are today? I highly doubt that a majority, if even a small amount, of the relatively few people who do play HaloPC actually played Marathon, nor did Marathon even make Bungie what it is today. NOR did Halo1PC... which wasn't even developed by Bungie!
d. If Halo 1 for PC was such a quagmire of frustration for your, and you had to go through so much strife to play it "for years" because of the sub-par porting display of Gearbox - then I ask why didn't you quit? Why do you claim to be such a big fan of Bungie and Halo if all you've played of the franchise is predominantly a PC port of their game and it's not even made by them directly? AND you apparently think it's "utter crap"!?
e. So maybe you played Halo 2 and liked that? Is that why your fan of Bungie? Is that why your so zealous about H2V? It has to be something like because I can't really see why you'd be here otherwise, unless you enjoy playing games that suck for you. Some sort of masochistic thing? I don't know. Well, whatever the case may be - smarten up. If you think Halo1PC was crap because it wasn't developed by Bungie, but you enjoyed H2 which was in fact developed by Bungie, and is currently only a console game, and are now frustrated because Halo 2's port to the PC is again not by Bungie...THEN GET A 360, PRE-ORDER HALO 3, AND HOP ON THE H3 BANDWAGON WITH THE REST OF US.
e. Alright, so say Bungie removes the link from their site... does that make anything different in the slightest in terms of your overall problem? NO! You'd be even LESS likely to find H2V info here, Bungie would be then even LESS affiliated with the game, and everyone else would have LESS of headache from all you unsubstantiated complainers?
f. Did you ever think that maybe since Bungie isn't developing the game, or really involved with it's "portation," if you will, that maybe they don't actually have any info to share? Maybe they don't really control it's release date - or have much, if any, say - over much, if anything? Your getting the info your getting as it's being released by the companies actually involved, and with control over that sort of thing... Don't come looking to Bungie for more answers, because frankly, I don't think they have them, nor should they.
g. Just because Halo 3 is getting all the love from it's actual development company and your little PC Port, that ONCE AGAIN I will say, is not being developed by them, does not give you some sort of grounds to come posting your dribble about how your not being satisfied by the inadequacies of some other company.
For a comedic/convoluted analogous story (because I'm bored), Halo 1 and are a set of FRATERNAL twins, Halo 2 and Halo 2 Vista are also a set of Fraternal twins, and then they have a younger sister who is Halo 3, who quite likely has it's own computer twin. The computer versions are for whatever reason adopted by some other sets of parents, while the biological parents kept the console versions of the twins, as well as younger sister, and right now no one is certain where that youngest Halo3PC twin is.... ANYWAYS, the adoptive parents do a bad job raising their children, and they turn out crudely, and neither the adoptive parents nor the children do a good job of "marketing" themselves to other people. Well on the other hand the biological parents half of the twins have all grown up to be widely popular, win tons of awards, are known around the world and millions love them. Well now, of course that youngest daughter now has a lot of people waiting to see how she turns out, early signs show her being a bombshell, with brains too match, so of course her biological parents are gonna be capitalizing off this attention as much as possible by giving the majority of those who follow the biological parents and their "creations" information about their latest spawn. All the while, the biological parents appear to be getting as far away from those dumb, crude twins that were adopted (and they probably wished they never had if they could) because they were a waste and unnecessary, but of course the powers that be thought otherwise.... So here's where you come in! You've been dating the oldest adopted twin who is quite crude and quite dumb, and you've somehow fallen in love with this crude, dumb girl...I know! It doesn't make sense to me either.... Anyways, somehow one time you and her younger twin's sister, Halo 2 console, were drunk at a party and you hooked up for a brief time. You were diggin' her body and her brains, but you couldn't stick with it for some reason, she was too good for you most likely, and so you resorted to stalking her twin, who is adopted by another set of parents, and likely to also be crude and dumb, if her old sister who was adopted is any indication. Despite all this, you're still set on getting with that adopted second twin, so you can dump that crude, dumb oldest twin you've been tapping for years now. WELL, it's just your luck that this 3rd set of adoptive parent's are very tight-lipped about their daughter and only releasing small amounts of info on when she'll be ready to go out in public and date. This just won't do, so you go to her biological parents who haven't ever raised this second twin. Sure they know the basics from having raised her twin, but it doesn't help you much because it's really all up to the parent's to shape a child, but gosh darn-it you wanna know more, and gee-whiz, all those stupid biological parent's want to talk about is their ridiculously sexy daughter who's also getting ready to come out and date around. You're fed up with the hype over this new hotness because it makes you feel dumb your not joining the hype, but your too proud to quit now, so you're gonna give those biological parents some choice words and a stern talking to. That'll show em! ...wrong! The problem is the biological parent's don't concern themselves with that second twin, she's been adopted, and someone else is parenting her, they can't really tell you much. Well golly, you've got a mighty basic problem, with an even simpler answer: DON'T EXPECT THE BIOLOGICAL PARENTS TO HELP YOU. THEY WON'T. THEY CAN'T. THEY SHOULDN'T. Instead of bothering these parent's, and fans of their daughter's that are waiting on this new hotness, not your the crude version of the old hotness. For information on that crude twin, maybe you should try pestering the adoptive parents of that crude twin, and leave the new hotness to be flaunted in peace by her parents, much to the delight of many others. THAT OR become one of many fans waiting for the new hotness, we'll all share! (unless it's legendary version :] )
SOOOOO.... Maybe that put things in a new light for you...or not....
Bottom line, don't act like everyone, specifically Bungie, owes you anything because you played a game not even developed by them, and Marathon, a game that had relatively minor impact on the overall success of Bungie.
It was your choice to spend years playing a game that you felt was crappy. It was your choice to then become a follower of the sequel-PC-port of this so-called "crappy" game. There have been TONS of other games you could have been spending your time on. You have no grounds for legitimate complaint. Sticking with the apparent theme of today:
Double-Tee-you-Eff Oh-Em-Gee Es-Tee-Eff-You!
After a certain point yelling louder doesn't get you anywhere, especially if the content which you're yelling CAN'T get you anywhere in the first place because of who your yelling at. Instead, it just pisses off everyone else who has to hear you. Perhaps go say it kindly to those who might better serve you, and leave the rest of us to drool over tantalizing narratives of new AI, water and grass effects, and cute pictures of Mister Chief.
