i found a glitch with the graphics on boneyard its in my file share as a clip if you see this bungie please fix it!

Love the dirtier look and feel. This is war, not somesort of super clean and bright paradise.
One, and only one thing I kinda dislike.
On elites, the camo module should not be the same as the spartan's.IE(its stamped UNSC)

I don't know why Bungie decided to use an "H" to signify health. Did they do it to be P.C. or because they got a C&D letter from the American Red Cross? A red cross on a white background is almost a universal symbol that represents healing.

they are pretty good, but they undoubtedly need work. They don't hold when closely examined like they do in Halo 3. I should like to see the sort of improvements between the BETA and the ALPHA that we saw between the Halo 3 BETA and Halo 3.

As I said before great graphics, but try and get the same lighting model for multiplayer as you are using for singleplayer. Also add environmental effects dust blowing around, leaves falling off trees, heat haze in the distance etc.

Graphics were better than the previous, as expected, although not the quantum leap like it was from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3. Still, when I go back to playing 3, I may realize it might have been more dramatic than previously thought. (Like going back to 2 from 3 after a year.)

One "glitch" or inconsistency was when going back in theater, third person hammer kills have a "physics" error in their 3rd person visual presentation. If one jumps and hammers someone, the "video" shows the avatar standing in the air as if firmly planted on the ground. Comical, and has no impact on the visual within the gameplay.

Yes! I totally agree with this. Get some effects like CoD uses, just a light cloud of dust blowing near the ground. That should be pretty easy to implement and not cause much of a hit on performance.

Also I'm not sure if this is in or not (BETA has ended now and I can't remember) but some light smoke coming from your guns barrel after you shoot would look great.

Bungie it's the little things like this that turn a good looking game into a great looking game. I hope you read this!

I wouldn't mind if the motion blur was toned down in favor of a higher FPS. Gameplay > Graphics.

I largely prefer the visuals from Halo 2 over Halo 3, sharper. Halo 3 is a mine of aliasing...

Graphics are great. The little details are great. Awesome job from all involved with models, textures, and code to allow for more polygons, effects, etc.

That said, two problems:

Sword Base is bland and uninteresting. The level of detail isn't there, and overall the map is rather silly in terms of design and coloring. Other maps were put together much more realistically and the level of detail and quality of textures in other maps far surpasses Sword Base.

Because there's so many more polygons in the character and weapon models, active camo needs to be more invisible than previous Halos. As it is, distortions and reflections from the character geometry makes active camo users glaringly obvious. I found I was much more successful without camo than with it when sneaking up on other players, simply because anybody could see me coming. I can't remember a single time I had a camouflaged player in front of me that I didn't see coming at me. Active camo was far more effective in previous Halos because of the fewer-polygon models and corresponding lower level of distortion.

vergogna dopo 4 anni di vita di xbox 360 la bungie non si è degnata di rifare un motore grafico veramente next gen..da sempre l impressione di giocare halo 2 o halo3...VOGLIAMO un halo next gen graficamente...BASTAAAAA... vogliamo Un halo che sbalordisce come hanno fatto molti altri titoli...vergongna!! soprattutto utilizzare il motion capture dopo 4 anni...è una presa in giro ai veri appassionati di videogame e di halo soprattutto che si aspettano qualcosa di veramente serio...

the graphics are great compared to halo 3, i like the slightly darker tone.
The only problem is the blurriness. upping the fps20 or so should do the trick of fixing it.

The beta looked great, Bungie did a great with the graphics. That said however..I think I can speak for most ppl here when I say this. We will expect the full game to look even better.

I think it would be pretty effen sweet if there were actual hole marks of where we assassinated or enemys with our knifes/swords. Elites on the neck with the combat knife via Spartans.

Or perhaps 2 burning holes from the Elites energy sword? I think that would be a little hard to be running in game and online though. : /

Get rid of that foggy/hazzy whatever you call it, I dont know if it's just a beta thing to help with frame-rate, but for serious guys. Also, random blurry edges on the arms when you run/melee......nothnx.

I know it's still early on, but the point still stands. You guys have a lotta work to do. I've noticed some disfiguring things. The HUGE scratch on the back of the wraith is EXTREMELY pixelated, PIXILATION IS NOT AT ALL SMOOTH!! So, smooth it out. The assault rifle and other guns are ok, but I've noticed that there are some triggers missing on the covenant weaponry. I know it's alien and all that but cmon, bring in the triggers.the focus rifle beans, after a while, it repeats the cycle. By a while, I mean like, Around like, I'd say bout 1-15 seconds is about right. There are some strong points though, or, alot of them. The rubber on the spartans suits, and the elites suits are extremely detailed. Down to every last pixel and micro pixel. I zoomed in on my dead body, in theater and there was a very nice network of shapes incorporated into the design of it. It actually fit quite nicely into it. Same with the elits. A tip though, when you publish the full game, make sure there's an actual knife in the sheath. The sheath itself isn't that well detailed, it is more...blockish than real, or realistic. It's not hollowed out, not that I could see anyways.

One of the huge problems that I saw, and really wanted to discuss, is that the cement barriers (referred to in halo 3 forge) are nice, they break apart nicely, and look good, when looking from a far. The bottom of it, well, leaves a lot to be desired. When you shoot it, a small piece breaks off, leaving a black, purple, and green, pixelated mess, all over a small area of the block, or barrier. I dislike this alot, because pixelation, is bad, and it looks horrible, I actually saw the mega pixels. I was in the fetal position for an hour after seeing that. The peice that chips off though, looks like the others. Well put together.

cutting in. I know that you guys don't really know how to fix this problem, and it will probably always exist but, when the 2 shapes collide, intersecting into one another, it leaves a VERY sharp edge on the graphic design it's on. Like the block. The wires cut into the cement, and leave a very clean, but sharp "cut into" on the cement. This, I'm observing, is happening to alot of the things in the halo: reach beta. The railings (alot) the vehicles, the wheels on the road, even some of the guns. A real good game, would make it so that the guns bounce alittle bit when they hit the ground, not just plop right down. Also, make it so that when they drop, they don't intersect one other. :D

the assault rifle and friends cuts into the spartans and elites when running, crouching, sprinting, standing, rolling (lol rolling), jetpacking (flying) and jumping. this is true for most guns, please take a look at the profile of the guns. it's not so obvious from the front, on the count that you can't see it.

the wraith, ahh the wraith, one second, you're owning, then the next, you're spawning next to a banshee. Good times, good times. The wraith has a HUGE graphical problem. When the gun fires, the cannon cuts back into the bottom of the wraith and even comes out the bottom. That, and the fact that the plasma cannon almost blocks out your view of where you're shooting, is really, umm, good, great job. no seriously, look at it. I've done some simple modding on a probram, on my computer with just the wraith to see how it would look, and to see if it was just the xbox, or maybe another contributing factor, but on a flat surface, aiming up, it does, cut in to the wraith.

the scorpion. ahh the scorpion, 12 splatters in a row, amazing. the bottom left covering plate to the scorpion tracks, Caterpillars, whatever you call the,, doesn't come off. Ever. EVER! the coxal gun don't work, and that's it for technicals. There is alot of pixelation in the engine, and the turret on the base of the scorpion. When the drivers hatch blows open, and you look inside to see what it would look like, and as it turns out, yet again, it's AMAZINGY PIXELATED!

I love the graphics. But what you guys should do to make things more bad ass is the abilty to call in your own air strike in campighn by mike. You guys did a great job with the graphics but also work on the little stuff to make ur game better. :) good job bungie

The game isn't running in full HD, which is kind of a shame. I'm sure that's due to the preformance specs of the 360 but still.
