Post your general thoughts and impressions regarding the Theater and user-created content in the Halo: Reach Beta.

Rants go elsewhere. Please be constructive. Or else.

KNOWN ISSUES:

-Bungie.net is too awesome
-Uploading, rating, and tagging content from the menu is above and beyond what I expect from a beta build
-Bungie Pro isn't instantly available after purchase

The blast/debris from the rocket fired was visible when I rewound to review playback even though the explosion hadn't happen yet.

That's me in the canal in camo, center screen and to the right near the opening you can see what's left of an explosion from a rocket that has not been fired yet. The bright orange "rays" if you will -

I've been able to duplicate this over and over, an explosion happens, you rewind, debris from explosion remains on screen. Recording a clip did not capture this, only sreenshots. And before anyone says it I'm certain without a doubt no other explosion took place there.

No I don't have any Beta codes. Sorry :(

-Can't rename content that was already named once

-Don't know what names are not appropriate until after taking the screenshot

-Still can't rewind in theater

-Medals wont be voiced when rewound or fastforwarded in Theater

-Still can't view other players in first person

-Can we press X to save a film clip of the game after we're done instead of going into Theater?

I take it you got bored of making threads all day?

Does stuff about the stats page go here then? Or will there be a seperate thread? Or are you relying on the survey page?

It won't let you rename saved files is the only problem I have with theater. That and it seems to find any word offensive, and therefore replaces it with -blam!-

add in an auto fast forward feature plz. so that i can fast forward my film without having to hold down the right trigger for 15 minutes. other than that theater is amazing!!!!

I think being able to record in slow motion and should be added for theater mode and I also would like to see how many downloads or like my film or screenshot has in-game.

The theater ROCKS!

Just a few "issues"

1. You cannot do the Halo 3 trick of pressing start during the film going in FastForeward, unless you leave the pause menu up
2. When skipping back after pausing, explosion particles from the future gameplay are still shown on the map
3. When FF after a black screen, a second black screen will show up blocking a few seconds of gameplay to display the gametype/map screen.

Untutored courage is useless when confronted with well educated bullets.

after pressing Y in third person, the 360 degree camera is way too high to view the player you are following. you can rotate it and follow the player, but you can barely see the player unless you are zoomed out all the way and in an open area.

Still no rewind feature!
No options to adjust theater camera movement speed (ala Halo 3).

To those saying can't rewind or fast forward - I'm not at my box right now but I'm fairly confident the L and R on the D-pad skip back and skip forward respectively.

When you are flying the cam in Theater (with your left stick), you are also doing stuff in the menu. (when moving left, you go left in the screenshot/play/rewind menu. Its annoying

I think the LT should have us rewind, the RT should have us fastforward, and clicking on the Left Thumbstick should speed up our view, like the LT does now.

This way, we can Rewind :)

It's too much of a hassle trying to save things and put them in your file share. I don't even know how to view my file share. You also can't go into theater mode with more than one person, probly not a problem since it's just the beta but still.

Download times and all that is amazing though.

Multiple players in theatre (I assume this will be in the final game?), but more importantly, the ability to save screenshots in multiplayer as well.

It was never fun in Halo 3 to find something really cool while browsing a film with your friend, only to not be able to take a screenshot.

I do not think that a rewind feature will be implemented into the final build as the theater from my understanding is extreamly complex peice of software. However I never seem to be able to skip forward? A faster forward wind is needed, it takes forever to get to the end of the video.

when a second player attempts to log during a video in theatre, it takes a screenshot

(UI displays "press A to login" and pressing A executes action button on theatre menu bar).

I thought from Halo 3 we only couldn't rewind campaign footage?

Sorry I'm not getting why some people are saying they can't rewind. What am I missing?

-I like that the video's seem to be loading a lot faster than Halo 3.
-Allowing everyone to put tags on peoples file shares ends up with offensive tags.
-I've noticed at certain times when I press the Y button it will not release the camera for free roam.
-Debris and sparks left behind from explosions.
-One thing that happened in Halo 3 that I would like to see gone from Reach is that when you press y to return to attached camera view if the player you are watching is dead it goes to another player. Would like to see it go back to the player you were currently watching.

-3rd person view is much worse than Halo 3, as it looks far too high up.

-The left stick not only makes the camera move around, but makes bottom-right (choose to take screenshot/filmclip/etc.) bar move around.

-Only one person can view a film! Please, I love watching funny or cool films of gameplay with my friends
-The amazing Bungie.net fileshare has given me concussions from being too awesome (Good work Bungie)

Improves the effects in Halo 1 PC.& Adds actual Blood decals to Elites (Part of - not Rebuilt)

The 3rd person is too high up. I can't see who I am watching sometimes. When I click for the sholder view... if I tap it it goes back to 3rd. It also doesn't always view what the player is viewing and will stick in one place.
